Celebrating Coming Out Day

Suggested Donation $20 adults/ $10 students and children

The Black Diamond Philharmonic will present the WVU Graduate Sax Quartet,  the Monongahela Brass, and the WVU Graduate Woodwind Quintet in a program consisting of famous composers from the LGBT+ community, including Leonard Bernstein, Jennifer Higdon, Aaron Copland, and Samuel Barber.

A Classical Coming Out

Come celebrate the freedom to join a live performance for the first time in more than a year! To commemorate the moment, we will premiere a fanfare by Appalachian composer Anthony J. Panebianco. Max Brauer's programmatic work about Pan, the demigod of Nature and Music, will remind us about good friendship and the beautiful West Virginia countryside. The program concludes with the timeless Wind Serenade by Antonin Dvorak.
